Getting OutsideHello from winter wonderland! Believe it or not, the weather was not very appealing for today’s run. But even less appealing was another treadmill session and another day spent entirely inside. So my husband and I seized the opportunity to get out for a little trot, leaving watches at home, because in these conditions the only possible pace is SLOW. Days like these used to be so frustrating before I retired from pro running. The fresh snow felt like a curse because it forced me to run painfully slow. If I could give a word of wisdom to my old self it would be to this: Try to enjoy what you can do rather than worry about what you can’t do. Without any goal paces or minimum distance to cover, we’re free to embrace the snow and the chance to get outside. That is my aim. It was a very good run (or more specifically — a very good jog). Sincerely, Nicole
