Eyes UpWinter solstice is here and the days are once again getting longer. The first vaccines are rolling out as 2020 is (finally!) coming to a close. The view from here is starting to look brighter. It has been a hard year for all, and much harder for some than others. And yet, you continued to run. Your races were cancelled, but your goals weren’t. Last year at this time, I’m not sure the phrase “virtual race” existed, but this past year 5 of you became marathoners in virtual races, in the middle of a global pandemic! You set personal records out on the roads — alone. You tackled injuries, got treatment and built back into training at full strength. One of the best strategies to stay focused during tough, long races is to simply keep our eyes up. When the fatigue sets in we are tempted to look down, slow down, and fall back. But by fixing our eyes on the runner ahead or the landmark ahead, our gaze keeps us engaged and committed. So thank you to everyone who kept their eyes up and remained focused through this challenging year. I was able to grow this little business in a year where many businesses struggled, and you were able to achieve running breakthroughs. Because of your focus and commitment we were able to thrive. And because of you there is so much to look forward to in 2021. Thank you so much! Sincerely, Nicole
