Return On InvestmentRacing can be nerve-wracking. When we commit to weeks and months of work and discipline, there’s no denying our investment. We want that result. We want success on race day. On the other hand, our investment is risky because it puts us in a position to be genuinely disappointed. It’s helpful to accept that on race day, there are no guarantees. But you know what’s NOT helpful? Standing on the start line thinking “there are no guarantees.” The reality is, good preparation makes success way more likely than any other scenario. We should stand on the start line thinking “I’m ready to do this!” We need to envision ourselves running strong (even when we are tired), hitting the splits, and finishing with a flourish. We need to see ourselves nailing our goal. Racing will always carry some uncertainty, but if we keep training and keep lining up, we can expect some very satisfying results. Sincerely, Nicole
