Future Focused

Leaves are changing. Racing season is coming to a close and the off-season is here. New goals and spring races may seem to be off in the distant future, but how you spend these next few months will determine what you are able to do next year.

It’s time to step back from high mileage and intense workouts and finally address any weaknesses or nagging injuries that you many have been “managing.” It’s time to develop the disciplines you know you need to do:

Stretching. Foam Rolling. Core work. Strength training. PT and rehab!

Not sure where to begin? Sifuentes Coaching can provide all the resources and connections needed to establish a strong foundation you can build upon as you train for future goals. Invest in yourself now so you can run fast and run far in the new year.

Personal Best of the Month

Melissa ran 2:11 in the International Half!

“It was my 5th half marathon in the past 6 years and my best time yet.”

Congrats Melissa!

Proper Preparation Leads to Success

First time marathoners often don’t make it to their start line. Running is a high impact sport that causes so much stress on the body and injuries abound.

Preparation for a marathon involves more than lots of running and determination - it involves careful progression of load, thoughtful scheduling of recovery days, mental training, and taking care of your body.

Both George and Jane set their mind to become marathoners, and they committed to all the aspects of a solid foundation. We worked together for months in preparation. Both of these runners navigated injuries and obstacles along the way. Both worked with physical therapists and massage therapists to get to the start line healthy. They did the training and made it happen.

Congratulations George on becoming a Marathoner!

Congratulations Jane on becoming a Marathoner!

“I kept getting myself choked up during the race when I thought about all of the work that went into today.”
