5. Treadmill Workout Options (Click article title to read.)

Need some ideas to mix things up on the dreadmill? Well, you aren’t alone. Treadmill Workout Options was the 5th most popular blog post of 2020. Recommended read as we face many more weeks of winter ahead.

4. Yoga For Runners?

I’m pretty pleased that Yoga For Runners? landed in the top 5 because I worked extra hard on this one! Experienced running therapists and one of USA’s top marathoners weigh in on yoga and running performance.

3. Fast Shoes

Normally I preach hard work and smart training as the path to PRs. There are no shortcuts to success! But in 2020 a legitimate shortcut to success emerged with carbon-plated, thick foam running shoes. Nike got the party started with the vaporfly and the other shoe companies quickly followed with their own versions of fast shoes. Get a new personal best for the price of a pair of shoes (these models run upwards of $200 USD)- no additional training required! These shoes WORK.

2. The CSCS: What it is and Why I Wanted It

This is the first blog post ever posted in Resources For Runners and it’s a little more personal than the other articles. Based on the popularity of this blog it seems that many people are interested in why I became a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and what kind of preparation is required to gain this certification.

1. Garmin Vs. Apple Watch

By a landslide, Garmin vs Apple watch was the most-read article of 2020. It was 10x more popular than second place The CSCS and 5x more popular than the Sifuentes Coaching homepage! I discuss my uses for these two watches as well as a basic digital watch (I own 3 watches) and offer my recommendations of the best suited option based on type of training.
